Communication – The Unified Patent Court appoints 21 technically qualified judges
Following the decision of the Administrative Committee dated 2 June 2023, 21 new technically qualified judges have been appointed to the UPC.
Following a recent recruitment procedure, which took place during spring 2023, 21 new technically qualified judges have been appointed to the Court.
Appointments to the Court are the result of an extensive selection process concluded by the adoption, by the Administrative Committee, of the list of most suitable candidate judges as proposed by the UPC’s Advisory Committee.
The Administrative Committee’s decision on the appointment of the newly recruited TQJs was taken on 2 June 2023. Further appointment of TQJs are expected to take place later this year, with candidates to be contacted for interviews in the upcoming weeks.
