EPLAW’s ‘statutes’ (Articles of Association) are in French because we are an association under Belgian law (which also would have allowed them to be in Dutch), but are downloadable below together with an English translation.
Constitution
Our Statutes were drafted in 2001 when the Association was created, and were last amended in 2017.
The language of our Association from the beginning has been English, as is evidenced by our name (see Article 1).
Important provisions from our Statutes are our object (Article 4): ‘promoting the fair and efficient handling of patent litigation in Europe’, our membership requirements (Article 7), and the terms concerning the Board of Directors and the Advisory Board (Part V).
