From 28 February to 3 March 2022, the city of Barcelona will host the sixteenth edition of the Mobile World Congress (hereinafter MWC). The MWC is the largest mobile event in the world, where the main players in the mobile telephony market present the sector’s most recent innovations and cutting-edge technology

In view of the upcoming edition (the last one was held from 28 June to 1 July 2021, although on a much smaller and limited format, with a drastic reduction in the number of participating companies because of the difficulties arising from the global COVID-19 pandemic), the Commercial Courts of Barcelona have issued for the 8th consecutive year together with the Courts of Alicante (for the 4th consecutive year) the 2022 Intellectual Property Fast Action Protocol in the framework of the MWC. The European Union Trade Mark Courts of Alicante joined this protocol in 2019 for the first time in collaboration with the Commercial Courts of Barcelona concerning matters related to EU Trademarks and Community Designs.
