Today, the schedule for the upcoming FRAND hearings in the Panasonic v. Xiaomi and Panasonic v. OPPO proceedings was published. The hearings are scheduled to take place in the Mannheim Local Division on 7, 8 and 9 October with 10 October being reserved as spare day.
The Orders, by Chairman and judge-rapporteur Tochtermann, stipulate that the technical part of the hearings shall be held on the first day. Both cases will be heard together, without being joined, as far as the technical aspects of the case are concerned.
Next, the FRAND aspects of the cases (in the OPPO case, including the FRAND counterclaim) will be heard. The FRAND aspects will be heard separately in the OPPO and Xiaomi proceedings on the different dates (8 October: OPPO, 9 October Xiaomi).
The abstract discussion of antitrust aspects will take place in public.
