Panasonic Holdings Corporation v. Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunications Corp. Ltd. and OROPE Germany GmbH, UPC LD Mannheim, Case no. UPC_CFI_ 210/2023
The UPC LD Mannheim has today issued the first UPC FRAND decision. The court found that OPPO infinged Panasonic’s SEP related to 4G technologies. OPPO’s FRAND defense was dismissed, as OPPO had not demonstrated sufficient willingness to enter a license agreement under FRAND terms.
