Samsung holds EP 327, EP 559 en EP 701 relating to ink cartridges and sues Maxperian, Digital Revolution and Yorcom for patent infringement. Yorcom et al successfully attack Samsung’s patents in an invalidity counter claim.

Taking Samsung’s ML-1630 en ML-1631 cartridges as closest prior art, the Court states that EP 327, EP 559 en EP 701 lack inventive step.
