On Sunday 5 April 2020 (One day prior to the Young EPLAW congress), twenty Young EPLAW volunteers will be given the opportunity to participate in the ‘How to plead a case’ project. For each pair of claimant and defendant a mock patent case will be circulated in advance, so that they can exchange short petitions and replies in writing, following which the case will be argued by them in English on Sunday afternoon in Brussels.

The judges’ panels will comprise members of the Board and Advisory Board who will preside hearings of approx 30 minutes each.

Young EPLAW associates (thus under the age of 36), may volunteer by sending an email to: eplaw@danubialegal.hu before 20 February. In the email, please state the number of years of patent litigation experience.

The volunteers will be selected on a first-come first-served basis.
