The EPLAW Board is pleased to inform its members that it has appointed an interim Young EPLAW Coordination Group consisting of the following members of the Young EPLAW community:
– Silvia Muñoz San Miguel (Gómez-Acebo & Pombo);
– Chiara Centola (Trevisan & Cuonzo);
– Karin Bek (Bardehle Pagenberg);
– Jonathan Ross (Bristows);
– Barbara Mooij (Brinkhof).
The group was selected from the applications received, taking into account the candidates’ motivation and, where relevant, their past involvement in organising the Young EPLAW congresses or webinars. We also sought a good balance across countries, gender and firms, including representation from both UPC and non-UPC jurisdictions and from firms not already represented on the EPLAW Board.
The appointment of the YECG will be submitted to the Young EPLAW community for formal endorsement at the next Young EPLAW Congress.
Save the date: Young EPLAW Congress
Next Young EPLAW Congress is scheduled for Monday 19 April 202, and will be preceded, as every year, by a mock trial on Sunday 18 April.
An email with further information has been sent to all EPLAW members. We kindly ask all EPLAW members to forward this email to their eligible young associates and encourage them to contact the YECG if they have any questions about future Young EPLAW activities, including the Congress and webinars. A call for speakers at the Congress and for participants in the mock trial will follow in the New Year.
The Board warmly thanks Silvia, Chiara, Karin, Jonathan and Barbara for their commitment and we look forward to seeing the Young EPLAW community contribute to the group’s work and future initiatives.
Young EPLAW activities are aimed at (and exclusively open to) lawyers from EPLAW member firms who are on track to become future EPLAW members themselves.
